Compressor Overhauls & Rebuilds
Absolute Zero Refrigeration is one of a small number of companies in New Zealand with the capability to perform full industrial compressor overhauls and rebuilds entirely in-house. From removal and disassembly through to overhaul, fresh paintwork, reinstallation, and final commissioning — we manage every step. We supply both new and rebuilt compressors, and hold direct access to genuine parts from all major industrial compressor manufacturers: Mycom, Sabroe, GEA, Bitzer, Bock, and Copeland.
Blast Freezing, Spiral Freezing & Vacuum Cooling
We have hands-on experience designing and installing purpose-built blast chillers, spiral freezers, and vacuum coolers for New Zealand food producers. Most refrigeration contractors rely on third parties for custom fabrication. We don't. AZR's in-house workshop handles the full scope of welding and fabrication that industrial projects demand — faster turnaround, tighter quality control, solutions built for each site.
Our capabilities include TIG welding of carbon steel and stainless steel, ASME-standard pipe welding and fabrication, food-grade stainless steel work, and custom brackets, supports, and plant skids.

Purpose-built blast chiller designed to cool product from 70°C to 4°C within one hour —custom booster fans, plenums, and air vanes for uniform airflow, managed by a precision PLC for energy-efficient operation.
200kW Spiral Freezer
Full in-house installation of a 200kW spiral freezer powered by three Bitzer screw compressors —featuring electronic expansion valves, a Carel Boss central controller, and a 40-metre stainless steel suction line engineered for long-term durability.
